SEARCH STRATEGIES

• Boolean - AND, OR, NOT (Example:  Coaching AND Football)
• Field searching - Subject, Author, Title (Example:  Subject:  Coaching)
• Quotation marks for exact phrase (Example:  "Sports History")
• Truncation - root + variants (*)  (Coach* will find coaches, coaching, and coachable)
• Database Limiters: date, publication type, document type, peer-reviewed, etc. 

          (Limit by date for most current articles ex. 2003-2009) (Peer-reviewed is a Scholarly Publication)
